I am an intelligent & industrious student of Electrical & Electronic engineering, with a good background in power electronics and in the effective application of computers including multimedia tools for relevent engineering calculations & applications. I have also studied economics as a subject & that comes in handy in the analysis of engineering proposals in the context of their cost effectiveness. I am a person who gets along well with almost all types of people. I am interested in music, sports & community affairs.

Skills

Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• Power electronics has been of great interest to me & my project on thyrister & transister drives gives me a good base for circuit design, application requirements and, selection of components for reliability relevent to the field application. Based on this work I have written technical articles on the energy conservation in electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps and two such papers have been published.
  
• Object based distributed database design for Power system operation, monitoring & control has been another area of work under Prof.H.S.Chandrasekharaiah of the High Voltage Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of  Science, wherein I have assisted my project guide Sh.Bhanu Prakash
  

Computer programming & application development

• Computer programming which started as a hobby has helped me to get a good base in development of applications for engineering design of thyristor & transistor drives.
  
• I also have a good command over the general database applications, graphics, office automation, and applications of computers for engineering design.

My article based on the project work titled "Solid state ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps & their energy efficiency" has been presented in the Lighting Seminar of ISLE ( January 97) at New Delhi. & has received the certificate of appreciation.

My technical paper on
"Direct current distribution along with electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps as a means of low cost conversion with freedom from harmonics"
has  been accepted for presentation in the international seminar Lux Pacifica '97 to be held at Nagoya, Japan during 14 - 16 October 1997.
